1st Sustained Investigation |
Reflection |
During this project, I really had a hard time with figuring out a inquiry that related to me, since I have a tendency to bite off more than I can chew and go a little overboard, so I asked my teacher for some pointers then I was struck with the idea of nature, but I wanted it to be more personified to what I want to improve on. Landscapes and people/character development. In the end I finally figured one that really fits what I love, Nature. My sustained investigation question was "How Nature Affects People, and How People Affect Nature?" The first thing I thought of when going about this project is what I would do to get away from the business of this world and just unwind. So I thought of someone being secluded on top of a broken brick platform that overlooks the plains beyond.

I am really happy with my project as a whole, but, if I could, I would like to have spent more time actually coloring and finishing the project instead of using most of my time to plan. The Strengths that I noticed were of the color palette choices that I made, I was really happy with the colors that I choose, and they work together really well. The Weaknesses would be how I drew my focus, the girl sitting on the bricks, I would have liked to try and add more facial features to her as well as do more with the brick wall as well, but time was not on my side. If I were to make another iteration of this piece, I would have done more with the background, because it looks a little plain, boring and blank. Maybe add some buildings near the horizon or some more animals. Also add more details on the road.
